AKADIMOS

Goldman participated as a Partner in the EU-funded project named «AKADIMOS».

AKADIMOS is a 36-month EU-funded project under the Digital Europe Program, created to support the establishment and initial operation of the European Cybersecurity Skills Academy. Its overarching objective is to strengthen Europe’s cyber resilience by bridging the cybersecurity skills gap, which is currently estimated at over 300,000 unfilled positions across the EU.
The mission of AKADIMOS is to:
Create a unified European hub (“single point of entry”) where individuals, companies, training providers, and public bodies can find high-quality, harmonized cybersecurity training opportunities.
Coordinate and connect existing cybersecurity training efforts across EU Member States, avoiding fragmentation and duplication.
Promote and enhance the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF) as the common reference for cybersecurity roles, skills, and competences.
Engage and mobilize stakeholders — EU agencies, national authorities, industry, academia, SMEs, and professionals — to form a sustainable European cybersecurity skills ecosystem.
Develop tools, procedures, and outreach mechanisms that ensure the long-term sustainability and operational readiness of the Cybersecurity Skills Academy beyond the project’s lifetime.
Raise awareness and promote participation through strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and targeted dissemination activities.
In essence, AKADIMOS operationalizes the European Cybersecurity Skills Academy, ensuring that cybersecurity education, training, and workforce development become more coordinated, accessible, and impactful across Europe.
