Goldman is proud to announce that joins in a consortium with companies all over the EU for the project AS4EDI2020.
The Scope of the project is to promote the use of the eDelivery DSI (Digital Service Infrastructures) amongst private and public entities by integrating the AS4 messaging protocol, specifically the CEF eDelivery AS4 Profile, in 6 Access Points by the implementing participants (Validated ID, Docuten, Ionite, Pantarei Soluzioni Informatiche, Globaltnet, and Promofarma). These Trust Service Providers (TSPs) will also certify their new AS4 PEPPOL AP as part of their Electronic Registered Delivery Services (ERDS) implemented according to the requirements set in the eIDAS Regulation (Regulation EU 910/2014 on electronic identification and trust services).
The AS4EDI2020 consortium is composed of participants from different Member States, namely Spain, The Netherlands, Italy, Latvia and Cyprus. This cross-border scenario, the use of PEPPOL network and the 6 parallel implementations will facilitate the interoperability testing and the deployment corresponding to each AP and SMP of this Action. Furthermore, the operation of these APs will benefit a large number of clients from the different Member States, including public institutions and companies from several business areas such as retail, manufacturing, tourism, banking, and the health sector.
Moreover, AS4EDI2020 will promote the use of eDelivery DSI across Europe, especially in the several Member States where the implementing participants and their clients are based. The upgraded eDelivery infrastructure will provide the opportunity, to exchange electronic documents and data through upgraded APs in compliance with the technical specifications of the eDelivery Core Service Platform and based on the CEF eDelivery AS4 Profile.
This Action will enable a large number of European entities to use the AS4 compliant eDelivery services provided by the members of the AS4EDI2020 consortium, thus contributing to the expansion of the eIDAS ERDS and the use of secure encrypted communication among public administrations, businesses and citizens.
In conclusion, with this Action, the entities that are part of the AS4EDI2020 consortium will integrate the AS4 messaging protocol, specifically the CEF eDelivery AS4 Profile, in 6 Access Points. By aligning with the eIDAS Regulation, they will be providing secure authentication of European citizens in their electronic services.
